The indictment prepared against retired Colonel Orkun Özeller, who was arrested for his social media posts against Devlet Bahçeli, demands a prison sentence of up to 6 years and 6 months.
According to the indictment of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Bahçeli filed a criminal complaint through his lawyer, while Özeller will be tried on charges of “publicly insulting a public official because of his duty” and “publicly inciting the public to hatred and hostility”.
