Istanbul 25th High Criminal Court ruled to continue the detention of Etkin News Agency editor Nadiye Gürbüz. Gürbüz, who was detained and arrested in the 3 February operation targeting the Socialist Party of the Oppressed, appeared before a judge for the first time after more than seven months in detention. Gürbüz defended her journalistic activities, stating that the indictment treated her reports for Atılım Gazetesi and ETHA, her participation in Suruç commemorations and her social media posts as grounds for charges. The prosecutor requested continued detention, the court accepted the request and adjourned the case until 8 December 2026.
