Journalist Selahattin Günday was arrested for a second time, this time on a charge of “establishing a criminal organization,” as part of an investigation into former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu. Günday had previously been arrested for reporting footage of Kozinoğlu entering Beşiktaş Courthouse in 2011 on charges of “disclosing information and documents related to intelligence activities” and “unlawfully obtaining or disseminating personal data.” His lawyer Hüseyin Ersöz objected to the procedure, saying a new request for arrest had been made without taking Günday’s statement while an objection to the first arrest decision was still under review.
