Diyarbakır 4th High Criminal Court held the first hearing of the case against Aram Publishing House owner Hakkı Boltan and employee Delil Zengeralp for “making illegal organization propaganda”.
The Presiding Judge asked Zengeralp: “Have you read the books you sold?” Zengeralp replied, “I have.”
In his defense, Hakkı Boltan stated that they carry out commercial activities as a publishing house and rejected the accusations. Lawyer Resul Temur stated that the books in the case were not banned and that the Press Law had been misapplied and asked for the acquittal of his clients.
Upon the request of the prosecutor’s office, the court sent the file to the prosecutor’s office for the final opinion and adjourned the hearing to January 27, 2026.
