The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) blocked access to 14 more eSIM providers, bringing the total number of blocked providers to 37 with the July decisions. Among those blocked were esims.io, Global YO, Gorilla eSIM, Jetpac, KnowRoaming, Orbit Mobile, Pocket eSIM, Roafly, Romio, Simfly, Surfroam, VIA eSIM, WorldSIM and YO Mobil. Prof. Dr. Yaman Akdeniz from Bilgi University criticized the BTK’s practice as “arbitrary and unlawful”, stating that the BTK does not publish its decisions and does not provide justifications despite requests for information.
