A confidentiality and broadcast ban was brought on the file of 14-year-old Vedat Ekinci, who died due to the fire opened by the soldiers after he crossed the border on August 1st, Thursday in Derecik district of Hakkari.
Following the file on behalf of the Lawyers Association for Freedom, Atty. Ramazan Kurt indicated that the Prosecutor’s Office haven’t yet summoned the suspect soldiers to testify. Indicating that a crime scene investigation was also not conducted due to security reasons, Kurt stated, “We found out from the Prosecutor’s Office that the most important evidence that will provide the enlightenment of the incident, the cartridge bullet is lost… We can’t receive more information on the details of the file.”
