Police intervened the “Justice and Freedom March” organized by CHP Women’s Branch in Avcılar, Istanbul. The march was attended by EMEP MP Sevda Karaca, families of arrested mayors and representatives of women’s organizations. CHP Women’s Branch Chair Asu Kaya continued the march despite the physical intervention. Kaya reacted to the police intervention against the women, saying that this behavior “does not represent the Turkish police”. Women reached the rally site despite all obstacles.
