A prosecutor sought the conviction of LeMan cartoonist Doğan Pehlevan in a trial on a charge of “insulting the president.” Pehlevan said the X account from which the posts were shared did not belong to him. The Istanbul 36th Criminal Court of First Instance gave the lawyers time to examine the expert report, maintained the travel ban and adjourned the hearing until October 6.
