The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued detention orders for 36 people, including Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, as part of an investigation into the municipality. Police searched the municipal building and the homes of several bureaucrats and detained 27 people. The prosecutor’s office conducted the investigation on charges of “forming a criminal organization,” “membership in an organization,” “bribery” and “rigging a tender.”
