Police detained Ahbap Association Chair Haluk Levent in Bursa as part of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office investigation into the association. The prosecutor’s office alleged that Levent transferred money from association accounts to certain people, placed high-value bets between 2020 and 2026 and used donations outside their intended purpose. The investigation was conducted on charges of “laundering assets derived from crime,” “violating the Associations Law” and “membership in a criminal organization.”
