A lawsuit has been filed against journalist Mehmet Oflaz for “breach of confidentiality” for reporting on the Supreme Court’s decision on the theft of 7,500 tons of grain from TMO. The person who filed the criminal complaint is Vahdettin Özkan, the current Governor of Manisa, who was mentioned in the news article. Professional organizations supported Oflaz, stating that journalism cannot be put on trial. The first hearing will be held on December 1 at Konya Criminal Court of First Instance.
