The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau launched an operation against ISIS and FETÖ on February 18, 2026. The prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants for four Iraqi citizens alleged to have links to ISIS in conflict zones and six fugitive convicts with final prison sentences for FETÖ membership. Teams from the Ankara Police Department and Provincial Gendarmerie Command apprehended and detained the suspects.
