Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office started an investigation against six people, who were exposed to torture on the 500th day of the protests of those dismissed from profession with emergency decrees on Yüksel Street.

Mehmet Dersulu, Nazan Bozkurt, Oktay İnce, Selvi Polat, Alev Şahin and history teacher Acun Karadağ were exposed to heavy torture, being beaten with reverse handcuffs. The Prosecutor’s Office issued a verdict of non-prosecution for the police officers who have beaten and taken the six people into custody. The protesters are charged with ‘organizing illegal meeting and demonstration.’
