Municipal police officers removed posters hung in Kayseri ahead of the 75th “Defending the Will of the People” rally organized by the CHP. The rally, organized by the CHP to demand freedom and early elections for its imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, was scheduled to take place at 1:00 p.m. on December 13 at Kayseri Republic Square. CHP Kayseri Provincial Chairman Ümit Özer announced that the posters hung for the rally invitation were removed in the evening hours and reacted to this situation. Özer said that preventing the posters would increase participation in the rally and reiterated the CHP’s demand to engage in politics under equal conditions in the city.
