Naim Eminoğlu, a lawyer and manager of the Istanbul branch of the Association of Contemporary Lawyers, was arrested on charges of membership in FETÖ/PDY based on an anonymous tip and HTS records from 2012–2016. The prosecutor’s office claimed that the anonymous email sent to the General Directorate of Security contained allegations and that Eminoğlu had communication records with numerous individuals. The Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace issued an arrest warrant on the grounds of strong suspicion of a crime and the possibility of flight. Eminoğlu denied the allegations, said he was targeted because of his professional activities, and requested his release.
