Nineteen people, including Silifke Mayor Mustafa Turgut, Deputy Mayor Şerife Yörükçü, municipal employees and company representatives, who were detained in an operation conducted on June 19 as part of the Silifke Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office’s investigation into bribery, extortion and bid-rigging, were referred to court after completing gendarmerie procedures.
