Diyarbakır Criminal Judgeship of Peace blocked access to 99 social media accounts that posted about the Narin Güran murder case. The decision stated that disinformation about the case was being spread despite the Court of Cassation’s final ruling. The aggravated life sentences imposed on Narin Güran’s mother Yüksel Güran, uncle Salim Güran and brother Enes Güran had been upheld by the Court of Cassation, while Nevzat Bahtiyar had been sentenced to 17 years in prison after a retrial.
