An investigation was launched into Başaran Aksu, organizing specialist for the Independent Mine Workers’ Union, and lawyer Mürsel Ünder of the Umut-Sen Legal Collective over statements they made at a hearing. Aksu’s slogan, “Down with the judiciary of the holdings, you will all be tried,” and Ünder’s remarks directed at the court panel were cited as grounds for the investigation. Access to Aksu’s X account was also blocked and the account was made unavailable in Türkiye.
