A raid was conducted on the Ataşehir Municipality in Istanbul on the night of April 18. The prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants for 21 individuals, including Mayor Onursal Adıgüzel, and took 18 of them into custody. Authorities charged the suspects with bribery, forming a criminal organization, and bid-rigging; Adıgüzel described the operation as politically motivated.
