A high school student in Istanbul was detained following a raid on his home on the night of April 17 for hanging a banner reading “Yusuf Tekin resign.” The police referred the student to the Gaziosmanpaşa Courthouse on charges of “insulting a public official.” The student’s friends called for a gathering in front of the courthouse to show support.
