Özkan Bozkurt, the owner of YouTube channel Sarı Mikrofon, was arrested as part of an investigation launched after a video titled “We entered Turkey’s most dangerous neighborhood, Koreatown” was shot in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ.
The video showed a person firing a rifle into the air and making threats. G.B., a child dragged into crime identified as the perpetrator, was detained.
On August 29, Bozkurt was detained in Istanbul and released with judicial control and a ban on leaving the country. However, he was re-arrested last night upon the re-arrest order of Çorlu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Bozkurt was arrested by the court and sent to Metris Prison.
