Doğan Nur, who was detained and arrested during the Istanbul Pride March, was released by the Istanbul 21st High Criminal Court. The court stated that the arrest measure was disproportionate and issued a judicial control decision for Nur in the form of a ban on leaving the country. Doğan Nur’s lawyer Sıla Öztürk objected to the release on the grounds that the scope of the case and the indictment lacked sufficient concrete evidence. The first hearing for Hivda Selen and Sinem Çelebi, who are still detained in the same case, will be held on August 8.
