The Constitutional Court ruled on the individual application of Ömer Faruk Eminağaoğlu, former President of YARSAV, who was sentenced for calling Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı a “FETÖist”. The Constitutional Court ruled that this statement falls within the scope of freedom of expression guaranteed by Article 26 of the Constitution. The court considered the judicial fine imposed on Eminağaoğlu as a violation of his rights. Eminağaoğlu stated that the people in question had praised Fetullah Gülen in the past and that criticism was natural.
