Istanbul Governor Davut Gül announced that no action that threatens public order will be allowed in response to some calls for gatherings and marches on social media. Claiming that these calls “target the peace of society, family structure and moral values”, Gül stated that security units will take necessary actions against such actions. The statement came after calls on social media, especially against LGBTI+ events.
