Students organized a commemoration at Istanbul University Faculty of Literature for the 12th anniversary of the Gezi Resistance, chanting “Gezi martyrs are immortal” and “Beyazıt will be the grave of fascism”. Students with opposing views verbally abused the commemoration. The police intervened the students who were chanting slogans after the commemoration at Vezneciler metro station. Many students were detained. A student recording the detention was also taken away by the police.
