As part of an investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Fahrettin Gökberk Akbulut, who managed the social media account named “Distaste,” was detained on January 18. Proceedings were initiated against Akbulut on charges of “publicly inciting the public to hatred and hostility.” His digital materials were seized during his detention. Access to the X account named Distaste, which Akbulut managed, was blocked. Aslan Değirmenci, Digital Media Coordinator at the Presidency’s Communications Directorate, revealed that Akbulut also managed accounts named “Kıyas” and “Burada Yaşandı.”
