Ramazan Başak, former Deputy Chairman of MASAK, announced that reports of suspicious transactions linked to fraud rose to 65.3% in 2025. Başak stated that he was first detained and then had his X account restricted due to his criticism of money laundering and the criminal economy. Noting that the detention took place while he was with his grandchild, Başak described the events as “unlawful.”
