On the 10th anniversary of the October 10 Ankara Massacre, the police intervened with tear gas against the masses who wanted to march to Ankara Courthouse after the commemoration event.
Families marched from Gençlik Park to the station and reiterated their demand for justice with the call of October 10 Peace Association.
When the police did not allow the march, the participants staged a sit-in protest.
Association President Lawyer Mehtap Sakinci reacted by saying, “The state of this country did not respect these families even after 10 years.”
Sakinci said, “Peace cannot be established as long as justice is not served. Everyone connected to the crime must be brought to justice,” he said.
