The prosecution of journalist Halil İbrahim Erbil, who was charged with “making illegal organization propaganda” due to a social media post criticising Gaziantep Mayor Fatma Şahin, started at Gaziantep 2nd Assize Court. The next hearing was scheduled to May 7. The journalist is charged due to criticising the annual Nut Festival in the province being held on the anniversary of Beybahçe Massacre, in which 56 people died last year, on the social media.
