Sakarya University cancelled the auditorium assigned for the theater play of Fırat Tanış due to the actor “having political agenda” and “being a Gezi Park protester.” Another prevention against theater artists came from Sakarya Serdivan Municipality. Cumhuriyet Stage made an announcement of the social media, stating that the staging of play “Azizname” on January 20 at the cultural center of the municipality was cancelled due to the stage’s support for artists Metin Akpınar and Müjdat Gezen.
