Folk poet and minstrel Ali Nurşani made a call for help from his personal Twitter account after not being able to find the money necessary for the medical treatment of his son Engin Nurşani, who is also a minstrel and is battling throat cancer. Following the call, a great example of solidarity was exhibited on social media. After the financial and moral support of many artists and citizens, the Ministry of Health also announced that they will help the minstrel’s treatment. However, after these developments, the song “Kurdistan” by Engin Nurşani was brought on the agenda. The medical aid provided to Nurşani was attempted to be turned into a lynching campaign through the song.
