Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Zafer Party Spokesperson Azmi Karamahmutoğlu for “insulting a public official”.
The reason for the investigation was Karamahmutoğlu’s comment on Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç’s post on the X platform, “How mystical…”. Upon this post, Karamahmutoğlu gave a statement at Ataköy Police Station.
Karamahmutoğlu’s lawyer Afşin Hatipoğlu announced the investigation on his social media account, stating that his client was targeted for a post that should be considered within the scope of freedom of expression.
