Cumhuriyet Daily had published the news on the fireplace and gazebo built by Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun on a land he rented from foundation in Kuzguncuk, without permission, being demolished by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) teams. An investigation was opened against retired journalist Mehmet Yüksel Özbek, who shared the news on social media.
