Members of the Mersin Environmental Platform protesting a mining project in the Arslanköy neighborhood of Mersin were removed from the room by gendarmes during an EIA meeting. Platform representatives stated that the public was not given the right to speak and that the intervention was aimed at “handing over” nature to companies.
