Figen Yüksekdağ acquitted of insult charge

Arrested former People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ was acquitted in the lawsuit she was on trial at Ankara 10th Assize Court due to “insulting the President” through the speech she gave at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) on November 26, 2015. In her speech, Yüksekdağ had expressed that Erdoğan “was aiding certain terrorist organisations.”
