Journalist Erk Acarer’s social media accounts were blocked from Turkey on the grounds of national security and protection of public order. His YouTube channel with 253 thousand subscribers and his X and Instagram accounts named “Belgeli Yorum” (Belgeli Yorum) were made invisible from Turkey by a court decision. The access ban decision has brought the debate on the violation of freedom of expression back to the agenda.
