Education workers in Kocaeli held a press statement in front of the Governorship building to show solidarity with private sector teachers waging a rights struggle in Ankara. Members of Eğitim Sen attempted to leave a black wreath in front of the Provincial Directorate of National Education but were blocked by police. Education workers called for teachers’ rights to be recognised and for the commercialisation of education to be ended.
