Numerous addresses were raided ahead of the NATO Summit as part of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor’s office announced that it had issued detention orders for 241 people and detained 209. Among those detained were Umut-Sen spokesperson Burcu Arıkan, Revolutionary Party leader Elif Torun Öneren, journalist Yıldız Tar, academic Emel Memiş and several lawyers. A 24-hour restriction on access to lawyers was imposed on the investigation file.
