A new investigation was launched on June 9 against Sefa Yılmaz, President of the İzmir Bar Association, and members of the board of directors regarding their activities and statements during the March 19 protests. The Bar Association reacted to the decision, noting that reports on human rights violations in prisons and the work it carried out during the protests had become the subject of the investigation.
