On June 10, the CHP Central Executive Board referred nine lawmakers close to Özgür Özel to the High Disciplinary Board with a request for their definitive expulsion. Under the decision, the lawmakers were suspended from their party duties. Those close to Özgür Özel announced that they would appeal the decision.
