The Istanbul 25th High Criminal Court handed down its verdict on June 9 in the trial of journalists Esra Solin Dal, Mehmet Aslan, and Erdoğan Alayumat. The court acquitted Esra Solin Dal and Mehmet Aslan. Erdoğan Alayumat, however, was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison on charges of spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization, and the court suspended the sentence.
