An investigation has been launched against five university students who protested the naming of the newly established Institute of Seed Science and Technology at Ege University after Emine Erdoğan. In a protest organized by the Student Collectives on October 10, students threw blue paint on the signboard of the institute, stating that the decision was an attack on the autonomy of the university. Students held a banner reading “Olive grove killer, get out of my university” and reacted to the AKP policies being carried to universities.
