Conscientious Objector Çınar Koçgiri Doğan was sent to Sivas E Type Prison on August 12 due to his 5-month prison sentence for being a draft evader. Doğan was released on condition that he work 24 days on probation.
However, he was given a suspended sentence (HAGB) for another case filed in 2023. If this decision is overturned, Doğan faces the risk of being imprisoned again. On September 12, Doğan will testify, and on October 10, his trial will be held at Sivas 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
His lawyer Gökhan Soysal made an individual application to the Constitutional Court for the third time due to the violation of his right to conscientious objection.
