Arda Karademir, a Galatasaray University student who was detained before May 1, has been under house arrest for 80 days. Karademir reacted by stating that an indictment has still not been prepared against him. Arda stated that he was taken from his dormitory with a dawn raid and was subjected to ill-treatment during the detention process, and emphasized that his right to education was also prevented. “I am accused of tweeting, there is no evidence, but I am still being punished. The law is being used as a stick for students.”
