Saturday Mothers demanded justice for Ramazan Kaya, who was disappeared in custody 33 years ago, during their 1059th week protest at Galatasaray Square. They called on President Erdoğan to open Galatasaray Square, to recognize enforced disappearances as a crime and to reopen the files that were closed due to statute of limitations. It was stated that Kaya was abducted by village guards in 1992 and that the investigations ended in non-prosecution despite witness statements. Relatives of the disappeared have been continuing their struggle for justice for years.
