The reasoned verdict in the Kobane Case is announced. The court sentenced Selahattin Demirtaş to 42 years in prison for “aiding to disrupt the integrity of the country and the state” due to his calls for Kobane protests. However, he was acquitted of the charges related to the killing of Yasin Börü and others. In the verdict, it was stated that Demirtaş attended the HDP MYK meeting and called for protests through his tweets and was therefore punished. The court also ruled for his continued detention.
