A lawsuit was filed against Mezopotamya Agency reporter Berivan Kutlu due to “making illegal organization propaganda” through her television broadcasts and social media posts after the February 6, 2023 earthquake. The indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office was accepted by Diyarbakır 4th High Criminal Court. It was alleged that Kutlu used expressions such as “not search and rescue, but evidence suppression procedures are being implemented” in the broadcast. The first hearing of the case will be held on October 16.
