Hundreds of lawyers protesting the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s lawyer Mehmet Pehlivan gathered at Çağlayan Courthouse. The police barricaded the lawyers who wanted to march to the Istanbul Bar Association. Erinç Sağkan, President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, announced that Pehlivan’s arrest has been appealed. Istanbul Bar Association President İbrahim Kaboğlu also participated in the statement, chanting “Rights, law, justice” and “Freedom for Av. Mehmet Pehlivan”. Lawyers reacted against the police prevention by saying “Constitution 34 march is a right”
