A verdict of non-prosecution was issued in the investigation on the detainment of three children (with ages 14, 16 and 17) on February 15, 2019 in Hacıbekir Neighborhood of İpekyolu district in Van as well as the torture they faced during their detainment and after they were taken to the police station. The security directorate didn’t send camera recordings on the incident; whereas the Prosecutor’s Office claimed that the police officers applied physical violence against the children in order to prevent them from resisting the police and escaping.
