In the trial of Şahin Tümüklü, the former co-chair of the ESP, the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court ruled on June 11 to extend his detention. Tümüklü requested his release, arguing that the charges against him were politically motivated. The court adjourned the hearing until September 10, 2026.
